Summer is here, which means it’s time to load up on fresh, delicious fruits and veggies. For many Chevy Chase locals, that means heading out to Norman’s Farm Market, where you’ll find everything from crisp heads of lettuce, to juicy tomatoes, to sweet corn on the cob. This family-owned farm has been in operation since 1987 and specializes in direct sales to consumers. In other words, the farm operates several roadside produce stands where you can stop by and choose whatever you want from the freshly-harvested crops, or you can choose to join the farm’s CSA to receive a weekly box of produce. Norman’s CSA is unique, too, in that your weekly vegetable box is completely customizable. Want something that’s not part of the weekly CSA program? No problem. CSA members get 15% off all purchases at the farm’s regular produce stands.
