Since 1845 DC locals (and even a few foreign dignitaries) have been turning to Magruder’s Grocery Store for fresh fruits and veggies. The store is also home to a locally famous deli, where you can get catering trays that include everything from cold cuts, to buffalo wings, to sub sandwiches (don’t forget to add a dozen of the shop’s popular empanadas to your order, either). In addition to groceries, Magruder’s is well known for stocking a huge selection of fine wines, craft beer, and spirits (the employees are extremely knowledgeable, too, so don’t hesitate to ask for recommendations).

The store currently offers both in-store shopping and easy curbside pickup. Just head to the website, place your order, and then drive to the store once you receive a confirmation email that your order is ready. Most orders placed before 4 p.m. are ready for same-day pickup.
