Take a Walk at Woodend This May!

If you have been looking to get outside this Spring, you should invest in the family walk at the Woodend Sanctuary on May 7th! This is a great opportunity to meet other people and families who love to explore nature, see the wonders of the sanctuary, and learn about the flora and fauna you’ll see on your walk.

The group will explore Woodend’s habitats on foot with naturalist and educator, Frank Sanford, and learn about the plants and animals that live in each part of the Sanctuary and how they help to create the rich ecosystem around us.

The group will meet at the visitor center at 9:00 am, so dress for the weather and bring bug spray and water! Parking is available at 8940 Jones Mill Rd Chevy Chase, MD so be sure to be prompt before departure to explore the Sanctuary!
