Incorporating Mindfulness Into Your Lindley Routine

As we stride into the New Year, there is a philosophy to do so mindfully to achieve the goals we often set as resolutions. Creating a resolution is a great way to place a goal on some aspect of your life, however, we know how easy it is to forget the pathways to success and resort to old patterns. To assist the residents of The Lindley, here are some tips to start 2023 on the right foot through acts of mindfulness.

When it comes to meditation and mindfulness, the advice will be to start your day earlier, but that’s not always a real possibility. This year, try incorporating mindfulness into your routine. If you start your day off in our lobby area, yoga studio, or while having a session in our fitness center, start thinking about your breathing or methods of achieving your goals while having coffee or working out. This will be easier to continue, rather than snoozing the alarm on day three of this practice.

We are often harder on ourselves than we are on those around us. When reviewing our own behaviors, take the time to imagine someone meaningful taking similar actions. If you would forgive them, do so for yourself and continue to build your relationships. Spend time with loved ones relaxing by the outdoor fire pit, at the dog park, or watching tv and playing games in our club room. Once you are having fun, it’s an easy routine to get into.
